A two-week mom and me classes that will rotate between science, art, sensory play helping kids learn about the world around them.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 1:00pm – 1:30pm CT
The Goddard School for Early Childhood Development hosts a mom-and-me mini camp incorporating learning in a fun, playful forum. During week one, we will learn about engineering by studying bridges, waterways, pulleys and more, using familiar literature or stories to create a memorable STEAM project. During week two, Children will learn about Earth, including what the earth’s layers are, how volcanoes erupt and how fossils are created.

Meet Our Instructor
Kathryn Chu is the Education Director of the Upper West Side Goddard School in Manhattan. She has a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from Marist College, in addition to a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Lehman College. She joined the Goddard team in August 2014 after five years working as a Special Education teacher in the Bronx and private math instructor for a tutoring company on the Upper West Side. In addition to working at The Goddard School, she is an Adjunct Professor for Touro College teaching Education courses that dive into topics of development of the young mind. She believes all children need a loving environment where they can flourish and grow, so she works hard to make her classes a warm, loving place for the children and their families.
