Party Time: Disney Princess Tea
A day truly fit for a princess! With the launch of our newest, limited edition Disney Princess collection, it was a no-brainer that we needed to throw a princess tea party to celebrate.
Monica + Andy's Events and Experiences team, Sam and Kelly, gave us the magical details on this magical day:
Q: How did you turn our Chicago guideshop into a princess wonderland?
A: What started as an intimate tea party for 25 princesses quickly turned into a full fledge event as soon as everyone caught wind of the collection. We had to quickly adjust! We got more tables, more chairs, more tea, more of everything and prepared for about 125 darling princesses to join us! We had a gorgeous assortment of traditional tea party treats: scones, mini sandwiches, mini muffins, mini cookies, and macaroons in adorable disposable floral tea cups. And we created a dreamy “princess-like” environment with yellow lace draped tables and plush cushions for seating. The guideshop blasted tunes from favorite Disney movies and guests were offered coloring pages with Monica + Andy Princess prints to color their favorite princesses.
Q: What was the main highlight of the event that everyone loved the most?
A: The strawberry bubble tea in adorable floral disposable cups and the photo booth were a hit!
Q: Did everyone dress in costume?
A: Every single little guest was dressed in costume... Lincoln Park was swarming with Princesses!
Q: If you could give 3 tips to a mom throwing a Disney tea party, what would they be?
- Make sure you assign little ones a time for their seated tea in shifts! This way everyone is ensured time at the tea table.
- Coloring pages are key for distracted tea party attendees!
- Balloons make everything brighter!
- BONUS TIP: Drinking tea while sitting on cushions on the ground are way more fun than sitting in a chair.
Thank you to our vendors who helped all the princess magic come to life!
