Meet the moms in our video:

Jeannine

Her story: As the owner of a growing business, Jeannine went back to work just a few weeks after coming home from the hospital and split the care of her newborn 50/50 with her husband.

“Motherhood can be so tough, no matter who you are or what you choose to do (or not do). Let's all just give ourselves a bit more grace, pause, and remember to pat ourselves on the back a little more.”

Sarah

Her story: Sarah went back to her job in corporate communications after her maternity leave ended but quickly realized her heart was at home. She made the decision to stay at home full-time and hasn’t looked back.

“The greatest challenge for me is answering the question, ‘What do you do all day?’ to people who do not understand what a demanding role this is—work inside the home has just as much value as work outside of it.”

Nirali

Her story: Nirali's job in brand strategy consulting was eliminated during her first week back from maternity leave. She’s now freelancing and looking for her next opportunity.

“Sense of self is the hardest thing to balance—I have to remind myself every now and then that I’m not just Ryder’s mom, it’s something I add to the mix of wife, friend, aunt, boss and really—self.”
