What's in my Hospital Bag: Laura Reynoso of Spanglish Fashion
Laura Reynoso has made a name for herself as the bilingual beauty behind Spanglish Fashion, a lifestyle blog that details her adventures in travel, motherhood, personal style and more.
Now Laura is about to tackle her most exciting role yet: Mother of two. The Texas-based influencer is due with her second baby (it’s a boy!) in just a few weeks. Laura, who has a two-year-old son, Diego Luis, knows what to expect on delivery day — but she admitted she’s still nervous about how her firstborn will handle his baby brother’s birth. Still, Laura can’t wait to meet her second baby. “I want to know him,” she told us.
Though her C-section is already planned, she’s waiting until about two weeks before the big day to pack her hospital bag...but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t thought about what’ll go inside it! “Now I know exactly what I need,” she said. “The first time, I didn't know exactly what I
Laura’s best advice to fellow mamas? “Do not carry things...Make a list of what you will need for you and the baby before packing.” She was kind enough to walk us through what she plans to pack before she meets her second son, Mateo Luis. See her selections below! Buffalo Plaid Milkmaid Robe ($64.95)
Comfort is key during your hospital stay (especially since hospitals are notoriously cold!), and wearing a soft robe is the best way to stay warm. Laura loves this one, which is plush and, thanks to the cute plaid print, super stylish as well.
Monica + Andy The Hospital Cuddle Box ($105)
Cute outfits and blankets for the new addition are high on Laura’s must-pack list. Baby Mateo is going to be one stylish newborn!
Dearfoams X Band Slide Slippers ($19.99)
“Comfy shoes for mom” are important to Laura, and we’d have to agree. We especially love how easy to slip on her pair of choice is.
The Emily & Meritt Star Print Cosmetic Bag, ($19.99)
Laura won’t be without her makeup bag during her hospital stay — and while this item is easy to forget about, we suggest packing your own makeup stash so you can touch up for cute photos with your new baby.
'Body Silk' Seamless Yoga Maternity/Nursing Bra
Giving birth is overwhelming, and it’s easy to forget that you’ll still be at the hospital for a while after Baby’s arrival. If you plan to breastfeed, a nursing bra like the one Laura selected is an essential.
Motherhood Maternity Shaping Brief ($15.98)
Laura favors this simple pair or briefs for the days before and after she delivers.
Other essentials Laura will have on hand when she gives birth? Personal documents (this is SO IMPORTANT!), toiletries, her new baby’s car seat (which she plans to have installed well before delivery day), and a change of clothes for herself and the new baby.
We’d say that pretty much covers it, wouldn’t you?
